What are the challenges encountered

1. I was not sure how to pass TO objects from one screen to the next. First I tried to implement Parcelable, however that

turned out to be a lot of work. Matt came up with a much easier approach that he found online to pass the TO objects via

JSON serialization/deserialization. So I ended up taking the same approach.

1. Complete database work for Edit Posting screen

1. Worked with Travis to come up with design for data service classes

2. Created initial class diagram

3. Wired my posting UI to call the stub service provider

What are the challenges encountered

1. I am relatively new to Java development so I am still not as effective as I'd like to be. I am still trying to get familiar with Java related technologies for Security and Web Services.

2. Working in a team with different time zone and work schedule is a challenge because we don't have the luxury of being able to jump on a conference call for questions or collaboration. I feel a little disconnected with the team from time to time

Plan for the next 7 days

1. Update data service stubs to return hard coded data so we can test calls to services for Marvin, Matt, and my own screens

2. Research ORM tool. Right now we're thinking to use JPA

What are the challenges encountered

1. IDE integration with SVN seemed to be extremely unstable. I spent a few hours just to get Eclipse and SVN to work properly together

2. There is definitely a big learning curve to understand the Android framework. However, after struggling for 2 days, I think I get the hang of it now. Hopefully my development velocity will pick up its speed in the coming weeks.

1. Work with Travis to layout interface for data service classes

2. Wire UI to data service class

1. Researched Visio GUI stencil for Android UI prototype. Found stencils by Artfulbits.com

What are the challenges encountered

1. We had some problem with Skype during our meeting. Going forward we might try to use Google Plus instead of Skype.

1. Meet with team to break use cases and sequence diagrams into small tasks
